This cream like most of the garnier product has lemon essence that is well known to lighten the skin tone.  You get this in a small plastic tub that is white in colour. The cream colour is white and has thick texture but gets absorbed easily into my skin. This day cream also has SPF and helps to lighten and brighten the skin. This adds a hint of glow and lightens dark spots to some extent.  With regular use the skin actually looks fairer!
